After your game drive in Lake Manyara, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approximately 2.5-3 hours). The scenic drive offers incredible views as you approach the crater.
Evening:
Check into your lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you’ll have stunning views of the caldera. Dinner and overnight stay.
Early Morning:
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a half-day game drive (about 6:00 AM). This will allow you to see the animals while they’re most active. The crater is home to a large population of animals, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos), along with wildebeest, zebras, and various bird species.
